About KSSNJ
The Korean School of Southern New Jersey, or KSSNJ, stands as a non-profit educational and cultural institution committed to instructing and celebrating Korean cultural heritage within American local communities. Through the collaborative efforts of over 160 students, along with dedicated professional teachers and administrators, KSSNJ has garnered acclaim, receiving numerous awards.
Within the framework of KSSNJ, the K-Arts Company is a vibrant entity comprising students from 1st to 12th grade, organized into K-Dance, K-Percussion, K-Art, and K-Choir. Boasting over 80 artistic members, they undergo weekly training led by experts specializing in traditional Korean arts. The company actively responds to performance requests from communities spanning Delaware to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. Recent invitations to esteemed institutions, such as the Delaware Art Museum, Newark Art Museum, Rowan University, and The College of New Jersey, underscore their prowess in both arts and education.
In an era where the Korean Wave, or Hallyu, captures global attention, there is a heightened interest in traditional Korean cultural arts among Americans. The KSSNJ K-Arts Company, proudly embracing its Korean American identity, adeptly meets contemporary demands by showcasing its artistic prowess in performances.
남부뉴저지통합한국학교(KSSNJ)는 남부뉴저지 지역사회에서 한국계 자녀들을 위한 한국어 및 한국문화 교육을 제공하는 비영리 교육기관으로서 연방정부로부터 공식 인증을 받은 단체입니다. 30여명의 교사진이 160명 이상의 학생들을 대상으로 코리안 아메리칸으로서의 정체성 함양에 힘쓰고 있습니다
남부뉴저지통합한국학교 예술단은 1학년부터 12학년까지 한국무용, 사물놀이, 모듬북, 미술, 합창 등 다양한 예술 분야로 구성되어 있습니다. 이 80명 가량의 예술단은 매주 한국어 수업 뿐만 아니라 전통예술 전문 강사들에게 받는 특별수업으로 더욱 높은 수준의 예술성을 선보이고 있습니다. 델라웨어부터 펜실베니아, 뉴저지, 뉴욕까지 다양한 지역에서 수많은 공연 요청을 받아들여, 최근에는 델라웨어 아트 뮤지엄, 뉴왁 아트 뮤지엄, 로완 대학교, 그리고 TCNJ 대학 등에서의 공연으로 큰 호응을 받았습니다.
